Position overview
We are seeking a motivated Master's Thesis Worker to join our team and focus on advancing Fraktal's offensive cybersecurity capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research and implement tools and automation that will enhance our Purple Teaming services. Your work will contribute directly to our mission of delivering impactful and measurable security improvements to our clients.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research on the latest offensive cybersecurity tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Design and implement custom offensive tools to support Fraktal’s Purple Teaming activities.
- Develop automation for repeatable attack scenarios, including advanced simulations aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK® framework.
- Collaborate with our Red and Blue Team experts to identify gaps in current toolsets and propose innovative solutions.
- Test and validate developed tools in controlled environments to ensure effectiveness and reliability.
- Document findings, methodologies, and tools for internal knowledge sharing and reporting purposes.
- Present your research and development outcomes to Fraktal’s team and stakeholders.

Who you are
- A Master’s student in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Passionate about offensive security and eager to contribute to real-world applications.
- Familiar with penetration testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks.
- Knowledgeable about the MITRE ATT&CK® framework and its practical applications. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Curious, analytical, and able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
